Dr Who and the Scratchman by BrianAW Dr Who and the Scratchman by BrianAW
Another of those weird "never was" articles for Dr Who Magazine, this being a 70's style poster for the movie "Dr Who and the Scratchman", whose script was written by Tom Baker and Ian Marter (but was never made) and was to star Vincent Price as the Devil.
If you think the Doc's sonic screwdriver looks a bit too much like a lightsabre, you'd be right. If you look at sci-fi posters from the late 70's they try to shoehorn them in everywhere:)

That would've been epic as hell if it would have made it. ;o;

Using the modern-era TARDIS as a model does seem a bit distracting to those who have submerged themselves in Classic Who know-how, though I doubt the more casual viewer would care for such matters.

Just stunning. Perfectly captures the vibe of the movie posters of that time and the whole idea of the unmade movie. Genuinely in love with this!

No, the script originally called for cybermen, but for some reason they weren't allowed to use them so they made up some other silver cyborgs to take their place :)
